Getting To and From Toowoomba

  Toowoomba is well-served by all modes of transport (although better by some modes than others!)  
 

Travel by Air

Wellcamp Airport (WTB), a 25-minute drive from the Toowoomba CBD, is served by 3 airlines:

  • Bonza - for travel between Toowoomba and Melbourne & the Whitsundays.

  • Qantas - for travel between Toowoomba and Sydney.

  • Rex - for travel between Toowoomba and Brisbane, Charleville, Quilpie, Windorah, Birdsville, Bedourie, Boulia, Thargomindah, St George, Cunnamulla & Mount Isa
Hire cars from Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are available at Wellcamp Terminal, and both taxis and a shuttle service (pre-booking required) is available between Wellcamp and Toowoomba.

Brisbane Airport (BNE), a 1hr40min drive from the Toowoomba CBD, is served by all major airlines, and connects to all of Australia. A regular road coach service connects Brisbane to Toowoomba.
 
 

Travel by Road

Toowoomba is at the junction of the New England Highway (N-S), the Warrego Highway (E-W) and the Gore Highway (SW), so is easily reached by road from anywhere.

A coach service operates from Brisbane (Roma St Terminal), with both Greyhound and Murrays operating (generally) hourly services between Brisbane and the Toowoomba CBD bus terminal.
 
 

Travel by Train

The Westlander is the only train service to Toowoomba, providing a twice-weekly service from Brisbane (Tuesday evening and Thursday evening), and to Brisbane (Thursday morning and Saturday morning). It also provides a service to Towoomba from Charleville (and intermediate points).
